Kamishihoro
Kamishihoro (上士幌町 Kamishihoro-chō) is a township in Katō District, in the north of Tokachi Subprefecture. Some 76 percent of the land is mountain or forest, a large part of it within the Daisetsuzan National Park. Tourism is one of the main industries.
In 2006, Kamishihoro had a population of 5,442. It has a land area of 696 km².

- Higashi Daisetsu Museum Nukabira. Natural history museum for Daisetsuzan. Open 9.00-17.00
- Lake Shikaribetsu Natural (i.e. undammed) lake in Daisetsuzan National Park. The eastern side is part of Kamishihoro but the western side of the lake is in Shikaoi.
- Mount Hakuun (白雲山 Hakuunzan) 1.187 m. Hill with fine views on the south side of Lake Shikaribetsu.
- Mount Tenbo (天望山 Tenbozan) 1.174 m. On the southeast side of Lake Shikaribetsu. Closed for hill walking, as of July 2008, due to a damaged path.
