Mount Sanpō
Mount Sanpō (三峰山 Sanpōsan) (1,866 metres) is a peak in the Tokachi Mountains. It is located between Mount Furano and Mount Kamifurano in Kamikawa Subprefecture, in the southwest of the Daisetsuzan National Park.

Access and trailhead
The trailhead and carpark is at Tokachidake Onsen (next to Ryounkaku inn 凌雲閣) is at the end of Route 291, 20 km east of Kamifurano, which is directly linked to Asahikawa by Route 237 (about 45 km). Several public buses a day go from Kami Furano Station to Tokachidake Onsen.
Sanpō hill circuit
From the trailhead (1,280 m) the path leads to Mount Furano (1,912 m, 3 hours 15 minutes, see that page for more details) and then turns east along a mountain ridge to arrive at Mount Sanpō (1,866 m, 1 hour 35 minutes), from where another ridge walk leads on to Mount Kamifurano (1,893 m, 1 hour). The path then descends west to the Horo Junction (1,502 m 45 minutes), and back down to the trailhead (45 minutes). The whole circuit takes about 7 hours 20 minutes in good conditions.
The walking season is from July to October.
