Tokachi-Obihiro Airport (とかち帯広空港 Tokachi-Obihiro Kūkō) (IATA: OBO, ICAO: RJCB) located 25 km (about 40 minutes) south of Obihiro City, is the only airport in Tokachi Subprefecture. It has an asphalted runway with a length of 2,500 metres. The airport is operated and managed by Obihiro City, the terminal building is managed by a corporation.

Flight operators

Scheduled flights are run by Japan Airlines (JAL, tel 0155 64 5681) [1] to/from Tokyo (Haneda), Kansai International Airport and Nagoya.

Airport buses

Tokachi Bus (tel 0155 23 5171) run buses between the airport and Obihiro Station six or seven times a day. There is also a shuttle bus to the Obihiro Grand Hotel, Hotel Wakamatsu, the hotels near Obihiro Station (Hotel Tokyu-inn, Paco Obihiro, Fukui Hotel, Washington Hotel, and Hotel North Land) and Obihiro Hokkaido Hotel. This bus is operated by Hokkaido Takusyoku Bus (tel 0155 31 8811). The cost of taking a taxi to Obihiro Station is be about 7,000 yen (2007).
